Quality Development

Quality development and quality management in social and pedagogical contexts

In kindergartens, hospitals and schools, in training centers and in workshops for adults with disabilities, as well as in old age, rehabilitation and youth centers, everywhere management and staff have been setting up quality management systems or procedures in order to secure quality measures and developments in recent years. In this sense it is not only important to consider what is important for the institution itself, it is also crucial to include the concrete demands of sponsors and their associations.

The key achievements within these institutions of care, educations, teaching, training and advice are focused around working with human beings. However, the quality management of precisely these achievements often presents a real challenge. This is principally because they are dealing with open and complex working relations which depend primarily on situational and situation-specific procedures. Furthermore positive results depend on the attitude of the interactive competencies of the service provider – a result that must meet both academic standards as we as the individual needs of the clients.

The GAB has specialized in managing the quality of precisely these open and complex working environments. In order to be able to describe and measure the quality in relation to the specific situational setting, we have developed the three common dimensions of quality of structure, process and outcome to include the dimension of quality of relationships.

We consult and accompany managing directors and staff from companies and organizations that offer personal services to help them set up and continue with their quality management. We are mindful of satisfying both the sponsors’ needs as well as preparing the companies for various certification procedures such as the certificate for QM systems along ISO 9001 regulations, AZAV (German Regulations for measures of employment promotion) qualifications or certificate for BAR (German Federal Association for Rehabilitation) requirements.
